RE: Ok to run shore power without battery?

I'd check the voltage the converter is producing, particularly if you are going to run it without a battery. I know of at least one case where a WFCO converter failed & produced 21V, destroying a pair of AGM batteries. High voltage can damage your lighting & 12V appliances...

RE: How much capacity is lost if converter isn't Li-friendly?

Your existing converter will take care of most of the charging but take a longer time. Your solar should take care of reaching the higher voltages needed to reach 100% and equalizing the cells. That’s what I’m currently doing. I do have a lithium capable stand-alone charger that I used before permanently mounting solar panels. I do much the same. I did switch to a PD4635LIV converter, but almost always leave it in the lead acid mode because I don't like the 14.6V float the lithium mode provides. I have 320 watts of solar on the roof & a Victron solar controller that keeps the lithium batteries topped off. A bunch of days in the shade but plugged in shows around 95% charge on the Victron 712.

RE: Robot Tolls - At My Limit!

Crossing the Peace Bridge into Canada at Buffalo with the NY EZpass,I was "up" charged from a class 4 to a class 5 combination of truck & trailer, adding $14.00 to the bridge charge. Filed an adjustment claim & they refunded the difference. Interesting point - I was traveling with friends & their single axle trailer was also "up" charged a class. This happened to both of us on two separate crossings this year, one in July & one in September. One might suspect that EZpass is trying to overcharge those that don't check their billing or don't bother to correct problems...

RE: Dometic Capacitive Touch Thermostat

No idea if the Easy Touch RV thermostat would solve your problem. It can be set for a narrower "changing differential", but that may have the same result on the control box. An expensive "see if it works" solution... As to the thermostat itself, if it controls both the AC & furnace, a household thermostat cannot replace it. As Doug points out, it sends a "control" signal to a box of electronics that then switches the AC or furnace off & on. As far as I know, the Easy Touch is the only alternative to the Dometic thermostat. I like the Easy touch much better - easier to set, shows the interior temperature, and provides both WiFi & Bluetooth control from your phone.

RE: exterior solar plug

Be sure to check the polarity. Trailer manufacturers & solar panel designers don't always agree, in fact different solar panel manufacturers don't have standard polarity for SAE connectors (The most used for external solar connections).

RE: Remote measurement of fridge and freezer temperatures

If you carry a "Smart" phone, check out the SensorPush (Link). Long range bluetooth connection, logging over day, week, month, etc. I have one in the freezer & one in the refrigerator section. (I also use one for outdoor temperature.)
